Timber Ply

deskka™ Premium Birch Ply is the highest grade available (A-Grade) and is graded as a face which means we avoid knot holes and patches. It also has a high structural rating which means you can trust our desk risers with the important job of supporting your precious equipment.

Although we cover the face with A-Grade Timber Veneer panels, it’s this extra mile using the A Grade Face Ply to do our very best to ensure the front edge of the Ply Stack which is visible on our products remains consistent and clean. This is also very important for the tricky business our routing the recess to fit our aluminium details and highlights.

Timber Veneer

deskka™ Premium Decorative Veneer is the highest grade available (A-Grade). We use a specific Veneer cut (either straight or crown cut) depending on the product to maintain consistency as well a very strict veneer matching process. It’s one of the most difficult parts of our job.

The thing is there will always be small imperfections and differences from Veneer panel to veneer panel and this is not a fault, it’s an inherent occurrence within the fibres of a natural product. The appearance of the grain in our veneer comes from slicing through the growth rings of a tree, and each veneer’s unique and beautiful visual characteristics and the colours on the timber will vary from piece to piece. This is part of the character and charm of natural timber products. And if you have any hesitation regarding this it’s best to find an alternative.

Aluminium

deskka™ Anodised & Brush finished Architectural Grade Aluminum Alloy. Specifically, we use 6063 grade which is a medium strength alloy and is commonly referred to as Architectural Grade. It’s perfect for this application as we can get great consistency and the levels of magnesium in 6063 lend themselves to achieving stricter colour/anodise uniformity.

Anodising aluminium is a science and things that can affect the outcome range from alloy composition, heat history, hot/cold working, grain structure, inter-metallics, surface finish, uniformity, inclusions and contamination. Metals from different lots or tempers are always slightly different and this plays a part when anodising/colouring. We use very strict guidelines and controls to colour-match from batch to batch and the outcomes are controllable but do have a 5% variation, even after the strictest protocols are put in place.

deskka™ Crazy Horse Leather is 100% high-quality natural cowhide. Crazy Horse Leather is known for its beauty and durability and derives its name from its popularity in saddle-making.

Being a natural product it has irregularities that contribute to each item’s unique and vintage look. Over time these unique irregularities are taken through the process of handling, wear & tear, and scratching that will only add to the rustic natural look. Your product will begin to show changes in hues and tones that only increase its character and beauty.

Stands & Shelves

All deskka™ stands and shelves come with a guaranteed limited lifetime warranty that covers any manufacturing defects including: legs, timber components, alloy and rubber feet when they are used under normal conditions and for the purpose intended.

The lifetime warranty does not cover any defects caused by improper use or items that were bought second-hand or without proof of purchase directly from deskka.com. Cosmetic damages, scratches, scuffs or general wear and tear generated from everyday use are not covered.

 

Accessories & Leather Items

deskka™ accessories are covered by a guaranteed limited 5-year warranty (Excluding Esfera Wellness Balls)  which means that if your product is subject to any manufacturing faults within five years from the original date of purchase, we’ll fix or replace it for you free of charge.

Our warranty covers faults in materials and workmanship and doesn’t apply if the damage is caused by neglect, unreasonable use, normal wear and tear, or if you change your mind about a purchase.

Making a claim

To make a warranty claim, you need to have purchased your deskka™ product through our website or one of our authorized resellers, and you must provide proof of purchase.

deskka™ warranties sit well above standard applicable consumer protection law and we stand by them.

We’ve designed our desk-wares to be the perfect helpers in the home or the office. However, if you decide that they are not the right product for your workspace, for whatever reason, send it back to us within 30 days of placing your order and we’ll reimburse your original payment method, as long as the product(s) meet the conditions set out in this policy. The products must be unused, in their original condition and in their original packaging.

The 30-day returns policy does not apply to the following:

  • Used items – products must be unused, in their original condition and in their original packaging
  • You have already returned the item once previously (an item can be returned once per order)
  • Any customers located outside of Australia
  • Sales or promotions where there is a 20% off discount or larger will incur a return fee

We enable you to offer your employees and clients a personalised corporate gift service that lets you personalise deskka™ products with your Branding, Custom Timber Laminate finishes and Custom Aluminum Colours and create product packages that work for you and your giftees.
